DeepMind has just unveiled Gemini, billed as its most capable and general AI model to date, promising to redefine the boundaries of multimodal AI performance. Gemini comes in three formidable variants:

Analyzing performance across multiple benchmarks, Gemini Ultra has outshined human experts in MMLU with a 90.0% score and advanced in image recognition without relying on OCR systems. Furthermore, Gemini Ultra, the most expansive variant, outshines on 30 of the 32 key benchmarks used in LLMs.

While it excels in complex reasoning over a plethora of benchmarks, it brings a fresh perspective to code generation with its internal project, AlphaCode 2, promising to be a boon for competitive programmers.
