Mac Users Embrace AI Apps in Daily Workflows
AI is steadily becoming a crucial part of daily life for Mac users, as a new report from app subscription service Setapp reveals a growing preference for AI-based applications. A whopping 42% of Mac users are now engaging with AI apps every day, and 63% find them more beneficial than their non-AI counterparts.
44% of Mac app developers have already implemented AI or machine learning models in their apps, and another 28% are working on doing so. Some of the top AI apps in the eyes of Mac users include Bard and Bing, TypingMind, Elephas, Spark, Notion, Grammarly, Craft, Luminar Neo, MacGPT, Asana, Raycast, and MacWhisper.
But it's not all about AI—the survey also revealed other interesting findings about Mac app adoption and discovery. Subscription-based apps are gaining traction against one-time purchase models. When it comes to app discovery, the Mac App Store, YouTube, and social media take the top spots.
Moreover, the survey also shows a notable uptake in the new M1 and M2 chips, with 70% of the respondents owning a Mac featuring either of these chips.
As the report elucidates, the incorporation of AI into Mac apps isn't just desirable—it's a movement in full swing. And as AI continues to improve, it will be exciting to see how it shapes the future of Mac apps.
